Our 2025-26 season is in full swing, we are actively recruiting across all eight of our teams, all players are welcome, please register your interest here.

We are ideally located for players looking to play football in the Wandsworth, Putney, Wimbledon and Kingston areas and the surrounding South & South West London areas.

Thorntonians Football Club is based at the Richardson Evans Memorial Playing Fields in Wimbledon and Putney Commons. At our home ground we have our own changing facilities and clubhouse (with its own bar). Our location is excellent for players looking for a football team in the Wandsworth, Putney, Wimbledon and Kingston areas and the surrounding South & South West London areas.

We have 8 teams who compete in the Amateur Football Combination, one of Europe’s biggest amateur football leagues. This includes a Vet’s team, which comprises of players aged 40+. As of the 2025 season our top 3 teams compete in the 3 highest divisions in the league system. 

Training takes place on 3G every Thursday from 8pm – 9pm (7pm – 9pm in pre-season) at the Aspire Centre in Southfields/Earlsfield. Additional goalkeeper training starts earlier at 7pm.
